Your home in the city
Hotel Sunset View began operations in 1990 when the cityscape of Kathmandu looked much different
than today. The areas surrounding the hotel back then were large paddy fields. Today, the place
is a popular hub and a bustling part of the capital city Kathmandu.
The hotel is invested in providing friendly, comfortable, simple yet elegant lodging
experiences. Our gardens are infused with Japanese style, and the interiors are a blend of
Nepalese and Japanese aesthetics that speak of the owner’s blended cultural backgrounds. We are
a small and tight-knit operation with a vision to provide a warm and dependable home base for
you in Kathmandu.
